MPoD is your iPhone / iPod Touch remote control for MPD (Music Player Daemon). Featuring a slick, intuitive user interface, MPoD makes it very easy to browse through your collection, and play the music you want to hear from a large collections of artists, albums and songs.
Note that MPoD is not a stand-alone application: it will only work in combination with MPD, and it doesn't play music on your iPhone. If you don't have an MPD server running in your home (which usually runs on Linux) then MPoD will not provide any value to you.
You can find details on MPD at http://www.musicpd.org.

This app is great. It's a must have for anyone with an iPhone/mpd setup. Works great, very very fast with the huge library i have. There are a few things that could be worked out like clearing playlist and queueing albums at the same time, but really this things the best of it's kind. check out the sister app MPaD if you've got an ipad, it's even better! I'd love to see a mac version of this suite.
It doesnt much like changing sources for streaming without a reset and I was frustrated with some parts of the setup but this is about as cool as I imagined it could be. For the first time in a while I have an app that I want to show off to people!
Awesome! Rolled my own Mougg (basically)

So I was looking into the Mougg service, but figured "hey, I can probably do that myself!". So I did, pretty much. With mpd and icecast running on my linux server, I can use this to listen to my music remotely. I used rsync to copy my itunes library to my server where mpd can access it, now I have my itunes library available anywhere I have wifi OR 3G thanks to the on-the-go feature! So awesome!
That said, the program isn't quite perfect. I have some issues pulling down the song list, but I can get around that by using the file browse screen. Occasionally I'll have connection issues, but I can't say whether or not that's the program or network, so I'm not letting that count against the rating. Other than that, the program pretty much works great!
Thanks so much for this program and great job!
